Refugees Alternatives Conferences Feb 2020
CED team and MyQ Council were involved in the Refugees Alternatives Conference with over 8 MyQ Council members involved in volunteering at the conference. Grace was the Master of Ceremonies and Butrus the Volunteer Coordinator, elected by Refugee Council of Australia. Ipswich Council Member Apolina was also on the regional panel, sharing the experience of young migrant and refugees in regional cities. The conference was very successful and Access shared a stall with Settlement Services International to market our programs. There were more referrals to the MyQ Council’s Youth Leadership forum in April, community leads in Brisbane for SETS CCB and networking of service providers.
